Set in the fictional North Yorkshire town of Tackleford and follows university students battling fantasy, science fiction and horror threats to the town.
SGR was the initial inspo for TSE in the mid aughts. While nowhere near as clever or British, I just knew I had to create my own little band of supernatural scallywags. Thank you, John Allison!
HOW TO BE A WEREWOLF
Since being bitten by a strange wolf as a child, Malaya Walters has attempted to live a quiet life…hopefully a life free of attempting to eat her family or the customers at her family’s coffee shop. Being the only werewolf she’s ever known, Malaya has managed her condition by keeping tight control on herself and the world around her, with lackluster results. That is, until a strange guy wanders into her shop one day and introduces her to a whole world she never knew existed.
HTBAW was the reinvigorating inspo for TSE. I’d long given up but stumbled upon this and was immediately sucked in by both it’s art and story. Thank you, Shawn Lenore!
KEEPING TIME
Daniel hasn’t been home since his twin sister Alex died. When he’s finally forced to move back, a chance encounter with charismatic guitarist Denver reunites the two as friends and bandmates–and even sparks new feelings between them. But just as the band seems headed for a brighter future, Denver and Daniel realize that falling in love in the scar Alex left behind might ultimately prove to be their undoing.
I’d seen Kody’s gorgeous work here and there and it eventually led me to KT. TSE was floundering yet again but fortunately, KT gave me not only a great new webcomic but also introduced me to the Toocheke webcomic plugin. My excuses were dwindling fast. Thank you, Kody Okamoto!
